Artist’s notes:
The Striped Squirrelfish was completed on 1.7.2013. I make mistakes sometimes. I mislabel animals, or place them in the wrong environments or locations in the world. As was the case with my recent collage of Hawaiian Coral Reef animals collage. I mistakenly added a few fish that simply could not be found there. Luckily, I had only posted the drawing to Flickr, to where the mistake was quickly pointed out by one of the community members. I removed it, but then realized I need to replace the fish with actual native fish. I chose these lovely squirrelfish and composed them using reference photos by Chuck Babbit.
