Deer Species of the World Poster

Deer are hoofed mammals of the family Cervidae. The males – called stags or bucks – are the only type of animal that has antlers. These are shed and regrown yearly. Deer are herbivores, feeding twigs, leaves, buds from woody plants, weeds, flowers, nuts, berries and grasses. They are highly adaptable animals, thriving in forests, grasslands, and tundra and even rural and urban areas. They are highly agile, have excellent eyesight, hearing and sense of smell, While deer can be active any time during the daytime, they are primarily crepuscular (meaning active at dawn/dusk.)
