Artist’s notes:
The Green Peacock was completed on July 3rd, 2014. There is something so wonderful in the anatomy of a peacock – almost magical and otherworldly. My wife and I chose the coloration of design of the peacock’s wing to be the theme for our wedding. There are only 3 extant species of peafowl, and I believe I will attempt to draw them all, as I’ve now already drawn 2 of them. The illustration is based on a photo by Ellen van Yperen and was used with permission.
