Fine art illustration of a Harris’s Hawk (Parabuteo unicinctus.) The illustration is available in black and white or color.
Artist’s notes:
The Harris’s Hawk was completed on 10.3.09. I love the desert, and these handsome raptors are a favorite desert dweller of mine. Like all birds of prey, they have that sharp, alert and slightly dangerous look to them. Generally I like to draw birds with their wings spread out, but the Harris Hawk has such nice coloration on the tops of the wings I thought this pose was ideal. The drawing is based on a photo by A.J Haverkamp.
