$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Nubian Ibex:
The Nubian Ibex is a goat antelope found in the arid, mountainous deserts of the Middle East. These mammals are well-adapted to the steep, rocky regions that they inhabit in northeast Africa and parts of Arabia. It critically endangered, with only about 1,000 animals believed to be alive in the wild. These ungulates (meaning hoofed mammal) are smaller compared to other ibexes, and stand around 65-75 cm / 2.1-2.5 feet tall at the shoulder and weigh about 50 kilograms or 110 pounds. The Nubian Ibex’s most prominent feature are their large horns, that on bucks can grow up to 120 cm / 48 inches long, and have 24-36 knobs on the outer curve.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%

Artist’s notes:
The Nubian Ibex was completed on 2.19.2011. I had never heard of these cool looking ungulates until I visited the Los Angeles Zoo in 2007. The exhibit there is very impressive, and the ibex looking quite happy and content in their enclosure. The drawing is based on some sketches I did while there, along with a few photographs too.
