The Maned Wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus) is a crepuscular (primarily active during the twilight period) and animal adapted to the open environments of the South American savanna. It is the largest canine in South America. Despite it’s common name or appearance, it is not actually a wolf or a fox, but rather the only species in the genus Chrysocyon.
