The Common Raven (Corvus corax) is a large, intelligent, all-black bird. It is the largest of the family Corvidae, which includes crows, ravens, jays, and magpies. The raven can be identified by its robust bill, shaggy throat feathers and distinctive wedge-shaped tail in flight. Ravens are capable of acrobatic flight and known for complex problem-solving. They are opportunistic feeders with a very broad diet. They are widespread in the Northern Hemisphere and found in nearly all types of environments.
