The owl is a nocturnal hunter, preying on rodents, birds, and small to medium mammals. The Great-Horned Owl has exceptional hearing, night vision, and strong talons. This bird of prey has an expansive range across the Americas, from the Arctic Circle down to the tip of South America. The Great-Horned owl uses their deep hooting call identifies their territory.
