Northern Bobwhite Poster Print – Wildlife Art

The Northern Bobwhite (Colinus virginianus) is a small, chunky, ground-dwelling quail known for its distinctive “bob-white” whistle. The range of this game bird is from southeastern  Canada, through the eastern USA, to central Mexico and Cuba. They are generally found in  in grasslands and shrublands, forming coveys and using the dense vegetation for cover. The males having distinct white head patterns versus females’ buffy markings, making them a popular bird for hunters.
