Mandrill – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Mandrill:

Mandrill is a primate of the Old World monkey family, closely related to the baboons and even more closely to the drill. It is found in southern Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and Congo. Mandrills mostly live in tropical rainforests and forest-savanna mosaics. They live in groups called hordes. Mandrills have an omnivorous diet consisting mostly of fruits and insects. Their mating season takes place from June to October. Both the mandrill and the drill were once classified as baboons in the genus Papio, but recent research has determined that they should be separated into their own genus, Mandrillus. The mandrill is classified as vulnerable by IUCN. It is the largest monkey on the planet.

Mangrove Snake – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Mangrove Snake:

The Mangrove Snake - also called the Gold-Ringed Cat Snake - is a species of rear-fanged colubrid. It is one of the biggest of the cat snake species, averaging 6–8 feet (1.8-2.4 m) in length. This snake is native to south-east Asia, from India through to Indonesia and the Philippines. As the name suggests, it is found in mangroves and lowland rainforests near water. Being arboreal (tree dwellers) they spend their days in the branches, coming down at night to hunt, usually looking for small mammals, other reptiles and birds. They are excellent swimmers and are often seen moving though watery areas. It is considered somewhat venomous, but moderate envenomations resulting in intense swelling have been reported, though there has never been a confirmed fatality. Marbled Hatchetfish – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Marbled Hatchetfish:

The Marbled Hatchetfish is small, ray-finned fish native to the tropical freshwaters of South America. They grow to be about 1.4 inches long (3.5 cm) The unusual shape of the fish - so named for it's resemblance to a hatchet - is thought to be a form of camouflage in mimicking a dead leaf. The fish spends most of it's time near the water's surface, adding to the illusion. These fish are very popular in the pet industry and are often kept in aquariums. They prefer softer, acidic water. They are omnivorous, feeding on small insects and plant matter. They are known to jump out of the water if startled, so if they are kept in an aquarium a secure lid on top is necessary.
