Linnaeus’s Two-Toed Sloth – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Linnaeus's Two-Toed Sloth:
The Linnaeus's Two-Toed Sloth - also called the Southern Two-Toed Sloth or Unau - is a slow moving mammal native to the tropical rainforests of South America. It's range includes Venezuela, the Guyanas, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil north of the Amazon River. It is a solitary animal, climbing through the canopy feeding on various plant materials. It is sometimes seen swimming across rivers. The two-toed sloths are generally larger than their three-toed sloth relatives, also having larger eyes, longer hair and legs and arms that are more equal in length. Some of the apex predators will hunt these sloths, such as jaguars and ocelots, as well as Crested and Harpy Eagles, who will pluck them from the trees in flight. While their numbers have declined due to poaching and habitat loss they are not considered endangered. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Lion-Tailed Macaque – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Lion-Tailed Macaque:
The Lion-Tailed Macaque - also called the Wanderoo, is an Old World monkey native to the rainforests of the Western Ghats in South India. It spends majority of its life in the upper canopy of tropical forests. Unlike other macaques, it tends to avoids humans. In group behavior, it is much like other macaques; it lives in hierarchical groups of usually 10 to 20 animals, which consist of few males and many females. It is a territorial animal, defending its area first with loud cries towards the invading troops. Lion-tailed macaque behavior is characterized by typical patterns such as arboreal living, selectively feeding on a large variety of fruit trees, large interindividual spaces while foraging, and time budgets with high proportion of time devoted to exploration and feeding. It primarily eats indigenous fruits, leaves, buds, insects and small vertebrates in virgin forest, but can adapt to rapid environmental change in areas of massive selective logging through behavioral modifications and broadening of food choices to include fruits, seeds, shoots, pith, flowers, cones, mesocarp, and other parts of many nonindigenous and pioneer plants. Due to habitat loss there are estimated to be only a few thousand in the wild. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Little Blue Heron – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Little Blue Heron:
The Little Blue Heron is a wading shore bird in the family Ardeidae. It's range is from the Gulf States in the US, south through Central America and into Peru and Uruguay in South America. It can also be found in islands in the Caribbean. The bird is about 24 inches long (60 cm) with a 40 inch wingspan (102 cm). The Little Blue Heron prefers sub-tropical marshes and swamps. Like other herons, it breed in colonies in large trees or thick bushes. It is a very adept hunter, feeding on fish, amphibians, crustaceans and large insects. It is often found in the presence of Snowy Egrets, and examination shows that the bird benefit from this, catching more fish and being better protected from predators. In their juvenile stage, they remain white for their first year. It could be because of the added benefits of staying close to the Snowy Egrets. The Loggerhead Sea Turtle is the only member of the genus Caretta, which is a latinization of the French word "caret" which means turtle. They are large ocean going reptiles, growing up to 800 pounds and 3.5 feet long. The Loggerhead Sea Turtle feeds on mollusks, crustaceans, fish, jellyfish and other marine animals. Due to environmental factors and past predation of the turtles by humans for meat and their beautiful shells these turtles are considered endangered and are protected by international law. It is the official saltwater reptile of the state of Florida. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Long-Billed Curlew – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Long-Billed Curlew:
The Long-Billed Curlew - also sometime called the "Sicklebird" or Candlestick Bird - is a species of shorebird native to the central and western parts of North America. They are notable for their very long beak that curves slightly downwards. The beak is used to probe for food in water saturated environments, very commonly at the seashore where the birds will follow the waves in and out and look for food brought in with the seawater, such as small worms, crustaceans and other invertebrates. At one time the bird's numbers were drastically reduced, but over the last few decades they have rebounded, and the population is now stable. Candlestick Point in San Francisco was named after the alternate name of the Long-Billed Curlew. The Long-Eared Bat is a species of flying mammal native to the western coastal areas of North America. It is a member of the Myotis family which are 'mouse-eared bats', which are diverse and widespread genus with dozens of species. Their ears are normally larger than normal bats. Myotis evotis inhabits a wide range of difference environments, including this often associated with forests. It is found under exfoliating bark, in tree cavities, and in stumps resulting from logging. In areas with few trees, they tend to reside in the crevices of cliffs and even rocks on the ground, in lava-tube caves, and mines which have been abandoned. Long-Eared Owl – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Long-Eared Owl:
The Long-Eared Owl is a medium sized owl being about 15 inches long and having a wingspan of about 40 inches across. They have a large range and are found in temperate forests of North America, Europe and Asia. It is believed that the large and distinctive ear tufts are used to make the owl appear larger to possible predators and other owls. Like other owls the Long-Eared Owl feeds almost exclusively at night, locating it's prey by sounds. It feeds on rodents, small mammals and birds. In controlled conditions these owls have been able to find it's prey in complete darkness. The hoot of a male long-eared owl can be heard up to a nearly a mile away. Long-Finned Pilot Whale – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Long-Fined Pilot Whale:
The Long-Fined Pilot Whale is one of three sub-species belonging to the genus Globicephala. It is a member of the oceanic dolphin family, although like the Orca or Killer Whale it is more whale-like in it's behavior. They are wide-ranging, medium-sized animals with a stocky, sturdy body. Their head has a large bulbous or square-like "melon". Females grow to be 12 feet long (3.7 meters). Males are somewhat larger at 15 feet (4.6 meters) An adult whale weighs 3,600 to 7,000 pounds (1.8 to 3.5 short tons.) They are sometimes called "Blackfish". There are two populations known of - one in the Northern Hemisphere in the North Atlantic, North and Baltic Seas. The other lives in Antarctic waters, covering the entire continental coastal areas. While their remote location makes guesses into their population difficult, these whales are protected under several international treaties.
