Meller’s Chameleon – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Meller's Chameleon:

The Meller's Chameleon also called the Giant One-horned Chameleon is the largest species of chameleon from the African mainland (as in chameleons not native to the island nation of Madagascar.) The name "Meller's" comes from a Doctor Meller's mentioned by naturalist John Gray in describing the species in 1865. The Meller's Chameleon can reach lengths of 24 inches (61 cm.) The females are usually slightly smaller than the males. Like other chameleons, Meller's Chameleon is a carnivore, feeding on small lizards, insects and other invertebrates. They are sometimes kept as pets, although seem to not do as well in captivity as some of the other chameleon species. Mexican Wolf – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Mexican Wolf:

The Mexican Wolf is a sub-species of the Gray or Timber Wolf . It was native to the regions of Sonoran and Chihuahuan Deserts from central Mexico to western Texas, southern New Mexico, and central Arizona. But due to a steep decline in the larger prey animals such as deer and elk, the wolf began to attack and kill domestic animals, which then led to the animal being hunted by government agencies and private citizens, until the population was eradicated in the wild. Today, there are only a few hundred alive on the planet, and these are either in zoos or preserves. There are efforts to save the species being made at various facilities in Mexico and The US. For more info please visit the California Wolf Center website.

Military Macaw – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Military Macaw:

Military Macaw is a large parrot and a medium-sized member of the macaw genus. Though considered vulnerable as a wild species, it is still commonly found in the pet trade industry. A predominantly green bird, it is found in the forests of Mexico and South America. An adult bird grows to be about 28 inches long (70.5 cm) with a wingspan of 33-43 inches (99–110cm) The Military Macaw is sometimes confused with the somewhat larger Great Green Macaw. Military Macaws live in large flocks and can live about 50–60 years in the wild. They can often be heard long before they are seen. They are a very noisy bird making a variety of loud cracking and shrieking sounds, including a loud kraa-aak. Their diet consists of seeds, fruits, nuts, berries, and other vegetation found on treetops in their forests. Their beaks are well adapted for eating various seeds and nuts as they have the ability to break open the hardest of shells with relative ease. The Military Macaw inhabits arid woodlands and subtropical forests. They typically live at elevations of 600 to 2600 m, higher in the mountains than most macaws ever range. However, these macaws may seasonally fly down to lowlands, where they are likely in humid forests and thorny woodlands

Miniature Dachshund – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Miniature Dachshund:

The Miniature Dachshund is a breed of dog that has been developed based on the larger standard Dachshund. Generally they weigh about 8-11 pounds with a height of 5-8 inches at the shoulder. They are also called "wiener dogs" for the obvious resemblance. The name "Dachshund" comes from the German word for "badger" (dachs) and "dog" (hund.) They are believed to have been developed in Germany in the 16th century, and their design and shape make it possible for them them descend into burrows and tunnels to kill badgers and other pests that dig holes. But they are also excellent hunting dogs for above ground prey too. They have an excellent sense of smell which gives them an advantage over some other types of dogs. The breed has three coats; smooth, long-haired and wire-haired. They are highly active and independent dogs, and their good nature makes them one of the most popular breeds of dog in the world. Because of their shape, however, they are prone to back injuries as well as Intervertebral Disc Disease which is usually caused by obesity.
