White-Winged Crossbill – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the White-Winged Crossbill:
The White-Winged Crossbill - also called the Two-Barred Crossbill - are finches with highly specialized, crossed bills and long, pointed wings. These passerine birds can be found in large flocks year round and call when they are foraging in an unproductive area. Their bills are adapted for removing seeds from cones, and they start at the bottom of a cone and spiral upward, prying open each scale and removing the seeds with their tongues. The bills can cross in either direction, and the direction of the cross dictates the direction that the bird spirals up the cone. They can eat up to 3,000 seeds a day.The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Whitetip Reef Shark – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Whitetip Reef Shark:
The Whitetip reef shark is a is a species of requiem shark and member of the family Carcharhinidae. It is the only member of its genus. It is a smalledr shark, usually not exceeding 5.2 feet (1.6 m) It name comes from the white-tipped dorsal and caudal fins. It is one of the most common sharks found on Indo-Pacific coral reefs, it can be found as far west as South Africa and as far east as Central America. It is typically found on or near the bottom in clear water. Whitetip reef sharks are rarely aggressive towards humans, though they may investigate swimmers closely. However, spear fishers are at risk of being bitten by one attempting to steal their catch. This species is caught for food, though ciguatera poisoning resulting from its consumption has been reported. The IUCN has assessed the whitetip reef shark as Near Threatened, noting its numbers are dwindling due to increasing levels of unregulated fishing activity across its range. The slow reproductive rate and limited habitat preferences of this species renders its populations vulnerable to overfishing. Whooper Swan – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Whooper Swan:
The Whooper Swan is a large bird native to the Northern Hemisphere. The length of these swans is 55-56 inches (140–165 cm) with a wingspan of 81-108 inches (205–275 cm). These birds require large bodies of water, and are rarely seen far from them. Because of their weight, their legs cannot support them for any great length of time and they need the buoyancy of the water to help them. Their name comes from the loud honking or whooping sound they make. They are very strong flyers, and can migrate hundreds or even thousands of miles to reach their breeding grounds. The Whooper Swan is the national bird of Finland and appears on the Finnish 1 Euro coin. The Whooper Swans mate for life. Wild Guppy - also called the million fish and rainbow fish - is one of the world's most widely distributed tropical fish, and one of the most popular freshwater aquarium fish species. It is a member of the Poeciliidae family and, like all other members of the family, is live-bearing. Guppies, whose natural range is in northeast South America, were introduced to many habitats and are now found all over the world. They are highly adaptable and thrive in many different environmental and ecological conditions. Male guppies, which are smaller than females, have ornamental caudal and dorsal fins, while females are duller in color. Wild guppies generally feed on a variety of food source including benthic algae and aquatic insect larvae. Guppies are used as a model organism in the field of ecology, evolution, and behavioral studies. The size of guppies vary, but males are typically 1.5–3.5 centimeters (0.6–1.4 in) long, while females are 3–6 centimeters (1.2–2.4 in) long. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Willet – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Willet:
The Willet is a large shorebird in the sandpiper family. It is the largest of the shanks (which are a genus of wading birds). Adults have gray legs and a long, straight, dark and stout bill. The body is dark gray above and light underneath. This bird winters on the Atlantic coast of South America. The Western Willet breeds in freshwater prairie marshes in western North America. It winters on both coasts, from the mid-Atlantic states south to at least Brazil on the Atlantic, and from Oregon south to Peru and Chile on the Pacific. Willets nest on the ground, usually in well-hidden locations in short grass, often in colonies. These birds forage on mudflats or in shallow water, probing or picking up food by sight. They mainly eat insects, crustaceans and marine worms, but also eat some plant material. The Willet's population declined sharply due to hunting in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Their population has since increased, but they are still considered at risk, especially in light of continued habitat loss. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
