Bowhead Whale – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Bowhead Whale:
The Bowhead Whale - also called the Greenland Right Whale or Arctic Whale) is a large marine mammal native to the cold oceans of the Arctic. It is a baleen whale, which are characterized as having baleen plates for filtering food, rather than having teeth. It grows about 66 feet long (20 meters) and weighing up to 74 long tons (75 tonnes.) This makes them one of the heaviest of the whale, even though there are some species that are longer. It is also distinctive as it has the largest mouth of any animal on the planet. While the Bowhead Whale was hunted for many decades, the decline of whaling and protection had lead these cetacean's numbers back to a stable population and they are not considered threatened. The whales are still hunted by native peoples of the Arctic, but only on a subsistence level. Bowmouth Guitarfish – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Bowmouth Guitarfish:
The Bowmouth Guitarfish - also called the Shark Ray or Mud Skate - is the sole member of the family Rhinidae. One reason for this is that the evolutionary development of this fish have not been quite worked out. They are one of the larger rays, reaching lengths of nearly 9 feet (2.9 meters) and weighing about 300 pounds (135 kg.) It is a heavy built fish with a very unusual shape, with the resemblance to the common musical instrument giving it part of it's popular name. These fish prefer to stay near the bottom, ideally in muddy waters or in underwater structures. These fish are considered "vulnerable" due to the fact that they are highly prized for the exotic dish shark fin soup. It has become a symbol of the various ocean animals threatened by human activity it sometimes referred to the as the "Panda of the Aquatic World." Box Jellyfish – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Box Jellyfish:
The Box Jellyfish - also called the Sea Wasp - is a species of jellyfish found in coastal waters from northern Australia and New Guinea north to the Philippines and Vietnam. It has been described as "the most lethal jellyfish in the world", with at least 63 known deaths from 1884 to 1996. Notorious for its sting, this jelly has tentacles up to 9.8 feet long (3 meters) which are covered with millions of cnidocytes. On contact these release microscopic darts delivering a powerful venom. Being stung commonly results in excruciating pain, and if the sting area is significant, an untreated victim may die in as few as three minutes. The amount of venom in one animal is said to be enough to kill 60 adult humans (although most stings are mild). C. fleckeri is the largest of the box jellies, many of which may carry similarly toxic venom. Its bell grows to about the size of a basketball. From each of the four corners of the bell trails a cluster of 15 tentacles. The pale blue bell has faint markings; viewed from certain angles, it bears a somewhat eerie resemblance to a human head or skull. Since it is virtually transparent, the creature is nearly impossible to see in its habitat, posing particular danger to swimmers. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Brazilian Porcupine – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Brazilian Porcupine:
The Brazilian Porcupine is a mostly tree-dwelling mammal found in the tropical rainforests of Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, the Guyanas, Bolivia and Trinidad. The body is covered with short, thick spines which are whitish or yellowish in color, mixed with the darker hair, while the underside is grayish. The lips and nose are fleshy. The tail is prehensile, with the tip curling upward so as to get a better grip on tree branches. This porcupine can grow to forty inches long, but half of that is tail. It weighs about nine pounds. Its feet are reflective of their living in the trees with four long-clawed toes on each that are ideal for grasping branches. During the day it rests in a cavity in a hollow tree or in a well-shaded area of the canopy, 10-30 feet from the forest floor. It rarely descends to the ground, but it shows little fear if it happens to be caught. It is not aggressive but will defend itself ferociously if attacked. Its diet consists of leaves, fruit, and small fresh twigs and shoots. This creature can easily be tamed enough to be kept in captivity. When excited, porcupines stamp their hind feet. Vocalizations consist of growls and cries. If caught, the porcupine rolls into a ball. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Brazilian Rainbow Boa – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Brazilian Rainbow Boa:
The Brazilian Rainbow Boa is one of about a dozen subspecies of Rainbow Boa. It is a terrestrial, non-venomous snakes that lives in humid woodland forests and open savannas of Central and South America. These boas are called "rainbow" because of the sheen imparted by microscopic ridges on their scales that act like prisms to refract light into tiny iridescent rainbows. The species is very adept to living in captivity and because of this and the lustrous rainbow shine of their scales they're very popular as pets. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
