Information about the Australian Giant Cuttlefish:
The Australian Giant Cuttlefish - also simply called the Giant Cuttlefish - is the largest cuttlefish in the world's oceans. They're native to the warm tropical waters off the coastline Western Australia. They tend to be found in and around the rocky reefs, seagrass beds and muddy seafloors up to a depth of 300 feet (100 meters.) They are carnivorous, opportunistic and voracious predators who feed predominantly on crustaceans and fish. This cephalopod has been declared as "Near Threatened." Baird’s Tapir – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Baird's Tapir:
The Baird's Tapir is one of four extant species of tapir on earth, and the largest of the three species in Latin America. It is named for the noted American naturalist Spencer Fullerton Baird, who was in Mexico in 1843 and observed them. However, the animal was in fact first described by another American naturalist W.T. White. The Baird's Tapir is found in the dense tropical jungles of Central America. They are herbivores, feeding mostly on fruit, berries, and leaves, which they hunt for and grab using their prehensile snout. All four species of tapir are considered endangered or vulnerable. Ball Python – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Ball or Royal Python:
The name of this snake comes from the snakes tendency to curl itself up into a ball when threatened. The Ball Python is a non-venomous reptile found in grasslands, savannahs and sparsely wooded areas of central Africa. It is the smallest of the African pythons, generally not growing larger than four feet in length, with the females being slightly larger than the males. They feed on small mammals such as rats, mice and other rodents. Because they don't grow to be too large and are relatively docile, they are very popular in the pet trade. Banded Archerfish – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Banded Archerfish:
The Banded Archerfish is a brackish water fish of the genus Toxotes. Larger specimens may be able to hit prey 6 ft 7 in to 9 ft 10 inches (2 to 3 meters) away. The name (binomial as well as common) refers to Sagittarius the archer, because of the unusual method banded archerfish use to capture prey. Banded archerfish are found in Indo-Pacific and Oceanian waters, generally in river mouths and mangrove estuaries. They move between fresh, salt, and brackish water over the course of their lifetime, though not to breed. Banded archerfish can reach a maximum length of 12 inches (30 centimeters) Average length though is about 8 inches (20 centimeters). Banded archerfish have mouths adapted to spit jets of water over distance, usually to knock prey into the water. The banded archerfish shoots the jet of water by raising its tongue against the roof of its mouth, forming a tube. The opercula then close quickly, pressurizing water along the tube. Most archerfish are able to spit at a range of 60 inches (150 centimeters.), When a prey is hit and falls into the water, the banded archerfish begins to move towards the place where it will land reaching it in less than one second.
