Lilac-Breasted Roller – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Lilac-Breasted Roller:
Lilac-Breasted Roller is a very colorful bird native to arid regions of sub-Saharan Africa and the southern Arabian Peninsula. It prefers woodlands, grasslands and open savannah, but requires trees to survive. It's about 14.5 inches long (37 cm.) It is feeds on a variety of prey, including grasshoppers, beetles, lizards, crabs, and small amphibians. It will usually take this prey from the ground. The rollers, which are a family of bird, get their name from their elaborate courtship ritual, which include diving and rolling in the air, with a fast rocking motion, usually accompanied with loud vocalizations. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Little Blue Heron – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Little Blue Heron:
The Little Blue Heron is a wading shore bird in the family Ardeidae. It's range is from the Gulf States in the US, south through Central America and into Peru and Uruguay in South America. It can also be found in islands in the Caribbean. The bird is about 24 inches long (60 cm) with a 40 inch wingspan (102 cm). The Little Blue Heron prefers sub-tropical marshes and swamps. Like other herons, it breed in colonies in large trees or thick bushes. It is a very adept hunter, feeding on fish, amphibians, crustaceans and large insects. It is often found in the presence of Snowy Egrets, and examination shows that the bird benefit from this, catching more fish and being better protected from predators. In their juvenile stage, they remain white for their first year. It could be because of the added benefits of staying close to the Snowy Egrets. Long-Billed Curlew – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Long-Billed Curlew:
The Long-Billed Curlew - also sometime called the "Sicklebird" or Candlestick Bird - is a species of shorebird native to the central and western parts of North America. They are notable for their very long beak that curves slightly downwards. The beak is used to probe for food in water saturated environments, very commonly at the seashore where the birds will follow the waves in and out and look for food brought in with the seawater, such as small worms, crustaceans and other invertebrates. At one time the bird's numbers were drastically reduced, but over the last few decades they have rebounded, and the population is now stable. Candlestick Point in San Francisco was named after the alternate name of the Long-Billed Curlew. Long-Eared Owl – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Long-Eared Owl:
The Long-Eared Owl is a medium sized owl being about 15 inches long and having a wingspan of about 40 inches across. They have a large range and are found in temperate forests of North America, Europe and Asia. It is believed that the large and distinctive ear tufts are used to make the owl appear larger to possible predators and other owls. Like other owls the Long-Eared Owl feeds almost exclusively at night, locating it's prey by sounds. It feeds on rodents, small mammals and birds. In controlled conditions these owls have been able to find it's prey in complete darkness. The hoot of a male long-eared owl can be heard up to a nearly a mile away.
