Snow Bunting – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Snow Bunting:
The Snow Bunting - sometimes called a "Snowflake" by locals - is a member of the family of passerine birds. The bird is located in the northern hemisphere with a circumpolar Arctic breeding range. They are about 5.9 inches long (15 cm) with a wingspan of 11.8 inches (30 cm) and weigh about 1.1-1.6 ounces (31-46 grams) These birds can endure extremely cold weather down to -22 F (-30 c) which is when the males head to the breeding grounds in early April. They are omnivorous and feed on both plant matter and insects. The Snow Buntings flock in large groups, which has been compared to a snowstorm. They also nest together in groups of 20-40 couples. Unlike other polar animals, the Snow Bunting is basically the same color year round, with only one molt that doesn't change it's appearance much. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Snow Goose – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Snow Goose:
The Snow Goose - also called the Blue Goose - is a large bird native to the the Western Arctic and North America. They are large birds with an average length of 27.2–32.7 inches (69–83 centimeters) weighing 56.4–116.4 ounces (1600–3300 grams) with a wingspan of 54.3 in (138 centimeters). During the 1900s, the bird was almost extinct, with a population of a mere one or two thousand individuals. But since then their numbers have become very large, estimated to be in the area of 5,000,000 birds, which is a dramatic increase even from just a few decades ago. They're know for their massive migrations, which is from their nesting areas in the arctic to areas south, and during this they can cover some 3,000 miles. These large birds feed almost exclusively on plant materials like seeds, leaves and the roots of aquatic vegetation. The young will occasionally feed on insects.
