The Wood Stork is a large wading bird of the order Ciconiiformes. Adult storks are about 33-45 inches tall and have about a 58-71 inch wingspan. The Wood Stork is a sub-tropical species that can be found in South America, Central America and the Caribbean. It is the only stork in North America and a small population lives in the southeastern part of the US and is considered endangered.
