American Bison – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the American Bison:
The American Bison - more commonly referred to as the Buffalo (which is actually not closely related to) - is a large North American land mammal. The American Bison once roamed the grasslands of central North America in massive herds, numbering in the tens of thousands. Overhunting and development of their native lands in the 19th century pushed the bison to near extinction with the population dwindling to few a few hundred individuals. Towards the end of the 1800s there was a push for their preservation and aggressive breeding and reintroduction projects were started. Even after over a century there are thought to only be roughly 20,000 bison in the wild today. They are a protected species on federal lands, but in some areas they are raised for their meat. American Fisher – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Fisher:
The Fisher is a member of the family Mustelidae. It is native to large areas of North America stretching from the East Coat to the West, including much of the northern boreal forests of Canada, parts of the upper New England Area and large areas of the Pacific Northwest. The Fisher is sometimes called a "Fisher Cat" but it is not a feline. Both sexes are similar in appearance, but the males are slightly larger - growing to an adult size of 35-47 inches (90-120 cm) and weighing about 8-13 pounds (2-2.5 kilograms.) The Fisher is one of the top predators in it's environment, and has little to fear from any other animals (apart from humans.) They are extremely agile, quick and intelligent and are opportunistis feeders, taking live prey such as small mammals, amphibians, reptiles, insect but will also feed on fruit, nuts and mushroom. They will even feed on carrion and road kill, such as deer and moose. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

American Foxhound – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the American Foxhound:
The American Foxhound is a scent hound and is related to the English Foxhound. The breed came from England in the 1600s. They were developed in Europe to hunt as a pack and, as the name implies, specifically for the hunting of foxes. The American Foxhound is somewhat taller and rangier than it's English relative. Both breeds are generally tri-colored (brown, black and white) although they can be almost any color. They are medium-sized dogs with a narrow chest and a long muzzle, which helps track the scent of the prey it has been pursuing. It is the official dog of the state of Virginia. American Lion – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the American Lion:
The American Lion (also called the Naegele's giant jaguar or American cave lion) is an extinct mammal that was native to the North American continent, going extinct roughly . It is a member of the family Felidae. It was native to northwestern South America during the Pleistocene epoch (0.34 million years ago to 11,000 years ago), existing for approximately 0.33 million years. It has been shown by genetic analysis to be a sister lineage to the Eurasian cave lion (Panthera leo spelaea or P. spelaea). It was one of the largest types of cat ever to have existed, slightly larger than the Early Middle Pleistocene primitive cave lion, P. leo fossilis and about 1/4 larger than the modern African lion The head-body length of the American lion is estimated to have been 5 ft 3 in–8 ft 2 inches (1.6–2.5 meters) and it would have stood 4 feet (1.2 meters) at the shoulder. While large, it was not the largest predator at the time - which was the Short-Faced Bear. It was not as heavy as the Saber-Tooth Cat, it was generally larger. Approximately one hundred specimens of American lions have been recovered from the La Brea Tar Pits, in Los Angeles, so their body structure is well known. Unlike their African relatives, the climate they lived in was colder and therefore like modern mountain lions they took refuge in caves. They are thought to have gone extinct about 10-15,000 years ago. American Mastodon – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the American Mastodon:
Mastodons are extinct mammals from the order Proboscidea. They are believed to have lived up until about 11,000 years ago. Just exactly why they went extinct is a matter of debate, but it seems a number of factors, such as climate change, hunting by primitive humanoid races and perhaps even a small meteor strike may have factored into their demise. While they were alive, the Mastodon inhabited much of the world, including what is now Asia, Africa, Europe and North and Central America. In recent years, there has been much talk about the possibility of resurrecting the species, because scientists have worked out part of the genetic structure of the animal. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
