This reptile is found throughout much of Southeast Asia and the Pacific, and Australia. this species has a high tolerance for salinity (hence the name) and is found in brackish water around coastal areas and in rivers. However, it is also present in freshwater rivers, billabongs and swamps. Information about the Siamese Crocodile:
The Siamese crocodile is a small, freshwater crocodile native to Indonesia (Borneo and perhaps Java), Brunei, East Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam. They are native to a wide range of freshwater habitats, including slow-moving rivers and streams, lakes, seasonal oxbow lakes, marshes and swamplands. Due to habitat loss and overhunting, the species is critically endangered and already extirpated from many regions. Its other common names include: Siamese freshwater crocodile, Singapore small-grain, cocodrilo de Siam, crocodile du Siam, buaja, buaya kodok, jara kaenumchued, and soft-belly. The reptile has a relatively broad, smooth snout and an elevated, bony crest behind each eye. Overall, it is an olive-green color, with some variation to dark-green. Young specimens measure 3.9–4.9 feet (1.2–1.5 m) and weigh 13–26 lb (6–12 kg) Adult can measure up to nearly 7 feet (2.1 m) and a weigh 88–150 pounds (40–70 kg). Most adults do not exceed 3 m (10 ft) in length, although hybrids in captivity can grow much larger. Spectacled Caiman – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Spectacled Caiman:
The Spectacled Caiman - also called the White Caiman or Common Caiman - is a large reptile native to the wetlands, rainforests and flooded forests of much of Central and South America. It can survive in fresh and saltwater, or a combination of the two (called brackish water) and because of this adaptability it is the most common of the crocodilian species in the world. Adult males grow to be about 5.9 to 6.6 feet (1.8 to 2 meters) weighing 15 and 88 pounds (7 and 40 kilograms.) Females are generally a little smaller. The caiman is one of the top predators in it's environment, and it will feed on insects, small invertebrates, crustaceans and mollusks when it is young, and when it grow larger it will eat fish and even mammals such as forest pigs. While the Spectacled Caiman is not considered threatened, some of the other subspecies are such as the Black Caiman. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
