Archelon Giant Sea Turtle – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Archelon:
Archelon is a genus of extinct prehistoric sea turtle. These massive marine reptiles lived in the oceans of North America during the late Cretaceous (75-65 million years ago.) They grew to an amazing 12 feet long and weighed over 2 tons. The largest Archelon fossil, found in the Pierre Shale of South Dakota in the 1970s, measures more than 13 feet (5 meters) long, and about 4.9 meters (16 ft) wide from flipper to flipper. Unlike most modern turtles, Archelon did not have a solid shell, but instead had a skeletal framework supporting a leathery or bony carapace. Archelon's closest living relative is the sea turtle known as the Leatherback. • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download

They are found in the tropical rainforests of eastern and central parts of South America. They are considered highly intelligent for reptiles. Arizona Ridge-Nosed Rattlesnake – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Arizona Ridge-Nosed Rattlesnake:
The Arizona Ridge-Nosed Rattlesnake is a venomous reptile native to only a few mountain ranges in Arizona, usually only found above 5000 feet, up to about 8000 in Pine forests and cooler canyons. Generally, the snake doesn't grow larger than a few ounces and longer than 24 inches. The name comes from the snake's distinctive upturned nose. The snake feeds on small lizards, mice, and invertebrates like centipedes. They are very secretive animals, usually only active at dawn and dusk, and are therefore rarely encountered by humans. As these animals are considered threatened by the state of Arizona it is illegal to collect or kill them. They are also the official reptile of the state of Arizona. Curiously, they were the last rattlesnake to be discovered and named by herpetologists in the US.
