Fine Art Drawing of a Red Racer Snake
Information about the Red Racer Snake:
The Red Racer Snake - also called the Red Coachwhip - is a reptile common to the Mojave Desert of the US. While named the Red Racer, the coloration of the snake can vary from gray to pink to tan. As the snake ages it becomes more and more redish. They are relatively fast snakes with speeds of up to seven miles an hour. They feed mostly on lizards, smaller snakes, birds, and small mammals. They are active during the day and can often be seen basking on rocks and roadways in the desert. While the Red Racer is not poisonous, it can deliver a nasty bite so handling these snakes is not recommended. Fine Art Drawing of a Regal Ringneck Snake
Information about the Regal Ringneck Snake:
The Regal Ringneck Snake is a subspecies of ringneck snake endemic to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. The snake is usually grayish in color, with a dark-speckled whiteish underside becoming bright red or orange near and under the tail. The snakes are among the larger of the ringneck snake subspecies, growing from 8 to 34 inches (20 to 87 cm) long. They have smooth scales. The regal ringneck snake is found only in the desert and scrublands, and not in the surrounding moutains. Unlike other subspecies, Diadophis punctatus regalis is almost exclusively ophiophagous, which means it's diet consists primarily of other snakes, such as the earth snakes and the blackhead or flathead snakes. They have enlarged rear teeth (opisthoglypha) and a weak venom that serves to immobilize their small prey, but is harmless to humans. Ringneck snakes are nocturnal, secretive snakes which spend most of their time hiding under rocks or other ground debris. If threatened, the ringneck snake typically hides its head and twists its tail in a corkscrew type motion, exposing its brightly colored underside, and expels a foul smelling musk from its cloaca. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Gaboon Viper – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Gaboon Viper:
The Gaboon Viper, is also called the Butterfly Adder or Swampjack is a venomous snake native to the rainforests and savannas of sub-Sahara Africa. It is a very heavy snake weighing about 20 pounds (8.5 kilograms) and growing to a length of 70 inches (174 centimeters) These snake are usually found in the jungles and woodlands at lower altitudes, although they are also encountered in farmlands, plantations and swamps. Because Gaboon Vipers are so large, they have no problem killing and swallowing prey as large as fully grown rabbits, which they strike with extreme accuracy and speed. They will inject venom into the prey with their impressive fangs (some of the largest of all the snakes in the world) and hold onto it until the animal dies. They are not aggressive snakes, so when a human is bitten it is nearly always because the snake has been accidentally stepped on. When a bite does occur it can cause death because of the potency of the venom. Information about the Gopher Snake:
The Gopher Snake - which includes six subspecies of Pituophis catenifer - is a harmless reptile native to North America. They are related to pine and bull snakes. The name 'catenifer' is latin for "chain bearing" which refers to the pattern color of the dorsal. These are not overly large snakes, but can grow to about 36-84 inches (91–213 cm) in length. The Gopher Snake is one of the most widespread snakes in North America. The range of this reptile is from the Atlantic to Pacific oceans, north into southern Canada, and as far south as southern Mexico. They can also be found in Baja California. The habitats of the Gopher Snake is varied and includes prairies, forests and deserts. They also readily adapt to parks and farmland, as long as there is enough prey. Gopher snakes hunt small mammals, birds and eggs. They are very docile and are often kept as pets, however they can deliver a painful bite if mishandled. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
