Cope’s Gray Treefrog – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Cope's Gray Treefrog:
The Cope's Gray Tree Frog is an arboreal amphibian found in the southeastern part of the United States. These tree frogs are virtually indistinguishable from Grey Tree Frog (Hyla versicolor) except when they are calling. Cope's Gray Tree Frog lives in woodland areas usually not far from a permanent water source such a lake, pond or stream. These small frogs are mostly arboreal,, usually only entering open areas to get to breeding ponds. They are usually a mottled gray, but can also be partially green in the coloration. They have bright orange-yellow patches on the hind legs, which are usually hidden until the frog leaps or is examined. The Latin name - chrysoscelis comes from Greek chrysos for gold and scelis for leg. Costa Rican Variable Harlequin Toad – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Costa Rican Variable Harlequin Toad:
The Costa Rican Variable Harlequin Toad - also called the Clown Frog - is a critically endangered neo-tropical true toad from the family Bufonidae. This colorful toad was once found from Costa Rica to Panama, it now exists only in one location, near Quepos, Costa Rica. It is presumed to be extinct in Panama. The reason for it's decline is likely a combination of of variation in air temperature, precipitation, stream flow patterns, and the subsequent spread of a pathogenic chytrid fungus (Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis) thought to be linked to climate change. At one time A. zeteki (Panamanian Golden Frog ) was considered a subspecies of A. varius, but is now generally considered a separate species. This frog in the past was found on rocks and crevices alongside streams as well as humid lowland and montane forests. It rarely enters the water, except to breed. Unless there is some change in conditions for this toad, it will likely go extinct in the wild very soon. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Eastern Gray Treefrog – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Eastern Gray Tree Frog Frog:
The Eastern Gray Tree Frog Frog (also called simply the Gray Tree Frog, Common Gray Tree Frog or the Tetraploid Gray Tree Frog) is a small amphibian native to much of the Eastern part of North America. They usually grow no larger than 2 inches long (5 centimeters.) They are very closely related to the Cope's Gray Tree Frog (Hyla chrysoscelis,) and are difficult to tell apart apart from the different mating calls. As the name implies, these frogs are highly arboreal and descend from the trees only during breeding season. They are strictly nocturnal, and are mostly solitary.
