Douglas Squirrel – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Douglas Squirrel:
The Douglas Squirrel is a pine squirrel found in the Pacific coastal states and provinces of North America. It is sometimes known as the chickaree or pine squirrel. Douglas squirrels live in coniferous forest habitats, from the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, northwards to coastal British Columbia and Southeast Alaska. These rodents prefer old-growth forests or mature second-growth forests, and some authors regard them as dependent on its presence. Douglas squirrels mostly eat seeds of coniferous trees, but will also feed on acorns, berries, mushrooms, the eggs of birds such as Yellow Warblers, and some fruit including strawberries and plums. Downy Woodpecker – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Downy Woodpecker:
The Downy Woodpecker is the smallest woodpecker species in North America. While they look much like the larger Hairy Woodpecker they are not very closely related. These birds cover many different types of environments over most of the North American continent and reside there nearly the entire year (although some might head further south during the coldest winter months.) These active little birds can be found in open woodlands, usually around deciduous trees or brushy areas near open meadows, urban areas and city parks. They are also common visitors to backyard birdfeeders. Dromedary or Arabian Camel – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Dromedary:
The Dromedary or Arabian Camel is a widely domesticated, large ungulate. In fact, this animal is so thoroughly domesticated they are not believed to exist as wild animals. They grow to about 84 inches tall, 84 - 121 inches long and weighs between 1000 - 1500 pounds. They are members of the family Camelid and are closely related to the South America llama and the alpaca. They are essential to humans living in the desert areas, providing transpiration, milk and meat. The most distinctive and recognizable feature of the camel's anatomy is its hump, which is used to store fat (not water, as some believe) The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download

Duck-Billed Dinosaur – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Duck-Billed Dinosaur:
The genus name for the Duck-Billed Dinosaur - Maiasaura - comes from a combination of Greek words meaning "caring mother lizard." The Duck-Billed Dinosaur lived in the area that is not Montana in the USA, roughly 74 million years ago, which falls in the era of the mid to late Cambrian period. These were large animals, reaching about 30 feet long (9 meters) While there is some disagreement about the size and shape of the crest on the animals head, it was generally thought to be used for head-butting during the breeding season. It is also believed that it was a dinosaur that lived in herds and raised it's young. It is the state fossil of Montana. Duck-Billed Platypus – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Duck-Billed Platypus:
The Platypus - or 'Duck-Billed' Platypus, is a small, semi-aquatic mammal native to the small streams and rivers of the eastern coasts of Australia. It can be found from the highlands of Tasmania and the Australian Alps, to the lush tropical rainforests of coastal Queensland, and north to the base of the Cape York Peninsula. It is a type of echinda, and one of only five living monotremes (which are mammals that lay eggs.) When the first specimen of this animal was brought to Europe from Australia, it was greeted with a mix of amazement and skepticism - with some observers going to far as to declare it a hoax. But of course eventually it was proved to be a real animal. On top of being one of the few mammals that lay eggs, it also has the distinction of also being venomous. The male of the species has a sharp spur on the hind foot that can deliver a venom capable of causing severe pain to humans, although it is generally not fatal. Dugong – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Dugong:
The Dugong is a large marine mammal native to the warm water oceans near the coastlines of the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and Australia. They are one of only four extant species of the order of Sirenia and the only living member of the genus Dugong. They are not closely related to other marine mammals, and are instead more closely related to elephants. They are herbivores, feeding on sea grasses and other plant matter in shallow waters. They closely resemble their relative the manatee, however the tail of the manatee is like a paddle, whereas the tail of the dugong is forked like that of a dolphin. These gentle mammals were hunted to near extinction for centuries, but all trade and hunt has been banned in nearly all parts of the world. They are very long lived animals, perhaps living some 70 years. Dusky Dolphin – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Dusky Dolphin:
The Dusky Dolphin is a marine mammal found in coastal waters in the Southern Hemisphere. The dolphin's range is patchy, with major populations around South America, southwestern Africa, New Zealand, and various oceanic islands, with some sightings around southern Australia and Tasmania. Its range also includes the Falkland Islands. They are particularly common from Peninsula Valdes to Mar de Plata. It seems to prefer cooler currents and inshore waters, but can also be found offshore. It feeds on a variety of fish and squid species. The Dusky Dolphin is known for its remarkable acrobatics, having a number of aerial behaviors. Compared to other dolphin species, is small to medium in length. There is significant variation in size among the different population areas. The largest dusky dolphins have been encountered off the coast of Peru, where they are up to 6 feet (210 cm) long and weighing 210 pounds (100 kg.)
