The Asian Forest Scorpion is a member of the genus Heterometrus, which include about 50 species of scorpion native to the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia. In this family are some of the largest scorpions in the world. Heterometrus longimanus, like most scorpions, is a nocturnal species which spends much of it's day hidden away in a burrow, or in a tree cavity or other forest litter. It emerges at night seeking prey, which is can subdue with it's large claws and venom tipped tail. The sting of this scorpion, while painful, is not usually fatal. They are sometimes kept as pets. The stinger of the Asian giant hornet is about .25 inches long (6 millimeters) and injects an especially potent venom that contains a cytolytic peptide that can damage tissue by stimulating phospholipase action, in addition to its own phospholipase. Masato Ono, an entomologist at Tamagawa University near Tokyo, described the sensation as feeling "like a hot nail being driven into my leg". Of all otter species in the world, Aonyx cinerea is the smallest of them all. Their name comes from the relatively small claws they have, which barely extend out past the pads of their paws. Like other otter species, they are highly skilled hunters and can feed upon a large variety of animals, such as crustaceans and mollusks, smaller invertebrates, amphibians and fish. They will also prey on smaller mammals and reptiles. Due to habit loss, pollutions and loss of food sources they are now considered vulnerable by some environmental organizations. Today they are limited to one small area in the Gir Forest in India. They are slightly smaller than their African counterparts. Their main prey are wild boars, buffaloes, antelopes, and deer. While they are considered endangered, their population is stable and they are a protected species. There are currently less than 500 Asiatic lions living in the wild.

The Atlantic or Chesapeake Blue Crab is species of crab native to the coastal waters of the western Atlantic Ocean. Adult Blue Crabs grow to just a little over nine inches (23 centimeters) and weigh roughly 1-2 pounds. The Atlantic Cod is a benthopelagic fish that belongs to the family Gadidae. It is also commercially known as cod, codling or haberdine. They are commonly found in from the shoreline out to the continental shelf. Cod are native to the waters north of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, and around both coasts of Greenland in the western parts of the Atlantic Ocean. In the east it's found from the Bay of Biscay north to the Arctic Ocean, including the Baltic Sea, the North Sea, Sea of the Hebrides, areas around Iceland and the Barents Sea. The Atlantic Cod can grow to be about 6 feet long (two meters) and weigh roughly 200 pounds (100 kilograms) These are long lived fish, and some individuals can make it to 25 years. Its habitat ranges from the shoreline down to the continental shelf. Back in the 1990 several cod stocks collapsed in the 1990s, with populations falling to below 95% of their normal sizes. Even with a ban on fishing for them the populations have failed to recover. The Atlantic Cod is considered "vulnerable" and is on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. It is the state fish of Massachusetts.
