Giant Chinese Salamander – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Giant Chinese Salamander:
Giant Chinese is a critically endangered amphibian native to the mountain streams and lakes in China. They are the largest amphibians in the world, and can reach over 5 feet in length, although adults of that size are exceedingly rare today. Due to habitat loss, pollution and illegal collecting they are considered critically endangered. They are thought of as a "living fossil" as their family dates back some 170 million years. It has very poor eyesight, so it depends mostly on special sensory nodes that run in a line on the body from the head to the tail. They feed on insects, crabs, frogs and fish. Climate change is also thought to have played a role in this animal's decline in the wild. The Giant Moray Eel is the largest of the eel species by weight - although the Slender Giant Moray Eel is somewhat longer. These eels are found in the warm waters of the Indo-Pacific Ocean, usually tucked into rocks and crevices in the coral reefs. The Giant Moray Eels feeds on fish and crustaceans, and they are able to crush their prey with powerful jaws and sharp teeth. They can grow to about 9 feet long (3 meters) The Giant Moray Eel is a fearsome predator, near or at the top of the food chain. Because of this, they can be fairly fearless when it comes to humans. Golden Retriever – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Golden Retriever:
The Golden Retriever is a breed of dog developed mostly as a "gundog" - which means they were bred to retrieve game that had been shot by a hunter, such as ducks, other waterfowl and upland birds. Retrievers have a "soft mouth" which means they will carefully return game undamaged. They also have a natural love of the water. Their dense inner coat provides excellent insulation against cold water. Retrievers come in other colors too, but the Golden variety is by far the most popular and widespread. They are highly intelligent dogs, eager to please with an excellent temperament and are extremely loyal to their owners and families, making them one of the most attractive breed of dogs for pet owners. It is believed the Golden Retriever has it's origins in Scotland. The lifespan of these handsome dogs is about 11.5 years. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
