Kaiser’s Spotted Newt – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Kaiser's Spotted Newt:
Kaiser's Spotted newt - also called the Luristan Newt, Emperor Spotted Newt or Iranian Newt - is a critically endangered amphibian native to the highland streams, ponds and pool of the Zagros Mountain in the nation of Iran. The entire range of this newt is very small - only about 13-15 square miles - which is one reason it's considered endangered. Habitat loss and pollution is the greatest threat to these newts. There are many captive breeding programs going on in the world which has helped stabilize their population. They are occasionally kept as pets. It is illegal to capture them in the wild, but because of the pet trade this still happens frequently. Lion-Tailed Macaque – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Lion-Tailed Macaque:
The Lion-Tailed Macaque - also called the Wanderoo, is an Old World monkey native to the rainforests of the Western Ghats in South India. It spends majority of its life in the upper canopy of tropical forests. Unlike other macaques, it tends to avoids humans. In group behavior, it is much like other macaques; it lives in hierarchical groups of usually 10 to 20 animals, which consist of few males and many females. It is a territorial animal, defending its area first with loud cries towards the invading troops. Lion-tailed macaque behavior is characterized by typical patterns such as arboreal living, selectively feeding on a large variety of fruit trees, large interindividual spaces while foraging, and time budgets with high proportion of time devoted to exploration and feeding. It primarily eats indigenous fruits, leaves, buds, insects and small vertebrates in virgin forest, but can adapt to rapid environmental change in areas of massive selective logging through behavioral modifications and broadening of food choices to include fruits, seeds, shoots, pith, flowers, cones, mesocarp, and other parts of many nonindigenous and pioneer plants. Due to habitat loss there are estimated to be only a few thousand in the wild. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Long-Spine Porcupine Fish – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Long-Spine Porcupine Fish:
The Long-Spine or Long-Spine Porcupine Fish (also called the Spiny Balloonfish) is found in much of the world's oceans. They generally inhabit muddy sea bottoms, lagoons and coral reefs. The fish is well-known for it's strange ability to make itself very large by swallowing air and water when threatened. It does this to make itself very unappealing to predators because of the massive spines that stick out when inflated (they lay back on the fish normally.) The spines of the porcupine fish are larger than the pufferfish (which it is sometimes confused with.) The Long-Spine Pufferfish is used in Chinese medicine, even though it can be very poisonous if not prepared correctly. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94%
