Harlequin Rasbora Fish – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Harlequin Rasbora Fish:

The Harlequin Rasbora is native to the peat swamp forests of Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra and southern Thailand. The name comes from the distinctive triangle shaped marking on the back half of the fish, somewhat akin to the costume of a Harlequin. They are also sometimes called a "Lamb Chop Rasboras" due to the shape of the dark patch on their bodies. They are smaller sized fish, reaching only about 2 inches when fully grown (5 centimeters.) Males are slightly larger and have a larger dark patch than the females. The Harlequin Rasbora is a very popular aquarium fish, as they get along with most other fish, are easy to keep, can tolerate various types of freshwater (acidic and alkaline) and will school with others of their kind, making them a lovely part of a community fish tank. Marbled Hatchetfish – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Marbled Hatchetfish:

The Marbled Hatchetfish is small, ray-finned fish native to the tropical freshwaters of South America. They grow to be about 1.4 inches long (3.5 cm) The unusual shape of the fish - so named for it's resemblance to a hatchet - is thought to be a form of camouflage in mimicking a dead leaf. The fish spends most of it's time near the water's surface, adding to the illusion. These fish are very popular in the pet industry and are often kept in aquariums. They prefer softer, acidic water. They are omnivorous, feeding on small insects and plant matter. They are known to jump out of the water if startled, so if they are kept in an aquarium a secure lid on top is necessary.
