Dwarf Minke Whale – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Dwarf Minke Whale:

The Dwarf Minke Whale is a marine mammal of the order Cetacea. There is some disagreement if this is indeed a separate species from the Minke Whale (it has not received an official scientific name at this time.) It is the second smallest of the baleen whales, growing to be about 23-35 feet long with the males a being little longer. Adults will generally weigh 3-5 tons. These cetaceans are widely distributed throughout the world's oceans, and can be found from the poles to the tropics. They occasionally will come near coastal areas, but it appears they tend to prefer the open oceans. Due to whaling these large ocean going mammals, were at one times considered endangered, but thanks to the ban on whaling - respected by most countries - their numbers have rebounded and their numbers are stable. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download
