Colorado River Toad – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Colorado river toad:

The Colorado River Toad - also called the Sonoran Desert Toad - is a large amphibian native to the deserts the southwestern United States and northern parts of Mexico. They spend a large part of their lives in underground burrows, venturing out only to feed and mate and only when the conditions are right. As an amphibian, they absorb water through their skin, therefore the arid, dry air of the desert during daylight hours is an unsuitable environment for them. They are one of North America's largest amphibians, reaching lengths of up to 7 inches. They are noted for their skin and venom, which has 5-MeO-DMT and bufotenin in them, making them what's called a 'psychoactive toad' - in which the chemicals in the toad can be used to obtain an altered state of consciousness when ingested by humans. Common Chaffinch – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Common Chaffinch:

The Common Chaffinch or simply called the Chaffinch, is a widespread small passerine bird in the finch family. The male is brightly coloured with a blue-grey cap and rust-red underparts. The female is much duller in colouring but both sexes have two contrasting white wings-bars and white sides to the tail. The male bird has a strong voice and sings from exposed perches to attract a mate. The chaffinch breeds in much of Europe, across Asia to Siberia and in northwest Africa. It prefers open woodland and often forages on the ground. The female builds a nest with a deep cup in the fork of a tree. The clutch is typically 4–5 eggs, which hatch in about 13 days. The chicks fledge in around 14 days but are fed by both adults for several weeks after leaving the nest. Information about the Chuckwalla:

Chuckwallas are large wide-bodied lizards found in deserts of the southwestern part of North America as well as some isolated coastal islands. They are part of the Iguanidae family. While somewhat fierce looking these reptiles are completely harmless to humans. Chuckwallas are diurnal and spend much of their time basking when the weather conditions are right. They generally hibernate during the cooler months. Chuckwallas are primarily herbivores feeding on fruits, leaves and flowers. When threatened Chuckwallas will run or wedge themselves into rock crevices and gulp air to inflate themselves.
