Gymnothorax javanicus
Giant Moray Eel – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Giant Moray Eel:
The Giant Moray Eel is the largest of the eel species by weight - although the Slender Giant Moray Eel is somewhat longer. These eels are found in the warm waters of the Indo-Pacific Ocean, usually tucked into rocks and crevices in the coral reefs. The Giant Moray Eels feeds on fish and crustaceans, and they are able to crush their prey with powerful jaws and sharp teeth. They can grow to about 9 feet long (3 meters) The Giant Moray Eel is a fearsome predator, near or at the top of the food chain. Because of this, they can be fairly fearless when it comes to humans. While not overly aggressive, they will attack and bite divers who come too close into their territory. There have been reports of unprovoked attacks on divers. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% But a Digital Download
