Information about the Serval:
The serval is a medium-sized wildcat that lives primarily in the African savannah but it can also be found in mountainous areas as well. It is closely related to the African Golden Cat and the Caracal. They are about 34 inches long plus about 16 inches of tail. They range in weight from about 25-50 pounds with the males being slightly larger. The Serval is highly specialized for catching rodents, it is an opportunistic predator whose diet also includes hares, birds, reptiles, insects, fish, and amphibians.
