Wood Frog – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Wood Frog:
The Wood Frog is a considered a New World "true frog." It has a large distribution over northern parts of the US and Canada. They are smaller frogs, generally only about 3 inches long (50 mm.) The females are larger then the males. Wood frogs are highly distinctive and there is no other species that resembles them in their brownish-tan coloration. Wood frogs feed on whatever small invertebrates they find on the forest floor or among the leaf litter. It is one of only two species of native frog in Alaska and one of only three species of frogs that inhabit the areas north of the Arctic Circle. During the winter months the wood frog actually freezes solid like a piece of ice, thawing in the spring as the temperatures warm. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download
