The Red Wolf is a North American canid. This mammal grows to be roughly 26–31 inches (66–79 centimeters) at the shoulder with a total length of 44–65 inches (111–165 centimeters) with the tail of 12–17 in (30–43 centimeters). The body weight can range from 35 to 90 pounds (16 to 41 kilograms) but on average the wolf is about 54 pounds (24.5 kilograms) Unlike the more common Gray Wolf, Red Wolves are smaller and more slender, and are sometimes mistaken for coyotes. These animals once roamed throughout the southeastern United States. The Rocky Mountain Elk is sub-species of elk native to the mountainous regions of Rocky Mountains and other ranges west and adjacent to the Rockies. The Rocky Mountain Goat is a large hoofed mammal found only in the Rocky Mountains and Cascade Mountain Ranges of North America.
