The Ocean Sunfish, also called the Common Mola, is the heaviest bony fish in the ocean. They can weigh up to one ton (2,000 pounds) The fish is native to tropical and temperate seas. They feed mostly on jellyfish and, because of the low nutritional value, they must consume massive amounts of them to develop and sustain their large size.
