Octopus rubescens
East Pacific Red Octopus – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the East Pacific Red Octopus:
The East Pacific Red Octopus is a cephalopod found in the shallow waters of the coastline and beaches of North America (but may also be found in part of the western Pacific ocean.) Octopus rubescens is a smaller species of octopus, growing only to about 9 inches long (22 cm) and weighing about 3.52-5.29 ounces (100-150 grams). Like other octopi, it can change the color and texture of it's skin to either match it's surrounding or express it's feelings when it is threatened. The diet of this octopus is large, and it will eat many different types of animals, such as gastropods, bivalves, crustaceans and scallops, although much of this information comes from observing captive animals. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download
