Information about the Black Panther:
Black Panther are not any unique species of cat, but rather a melanistic (an increased amount of dark pigmentation) of any of the large cats, such as the leopard or jaguar. They are not uniformly black, but in fact to have the usual spotting pattern just as normal, but the entire shade of the coat is vary dark, and in fact almost black. Black Leopards are especially rare, being found in usually only in some remote areas of the southwestern parts of China. For a long time, these big cats were considered a separate species of leopard and jaguar, until a better understanding of the different color morphs of animals was understood. Information about the Jaguar:
The Jaguar ranges from the southwestern United States to Argentina. It is the only member of the Panthera genus native to the Americas. This large predatory feline live in a variety of habitats, from dense jungle and scrubland to shoreline forests. The Jaguar is one of the smaller big cats, measuring about 27 - 30 inches (68 -76 cm) from the ground to their shoulders, a body length of somewhere between 3.5 - 6.25 feet (1.1 - 1.9 m) weighing about 190 -300 pounds (57-113 kg) with the females being somewhat smaller. Jaguars are revered in many indigenous American cultures. The Maya believed that the Jaguar helped the sun to travel under the earth at night, ensuring its new rising every morning. Despite the loss of habitat and being hunted for their furs for many decades, this large cat isn't endangered, but considered "near threatened" by conservation groups.The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
