The Sri Lankan Leopard is a large, predatory feline native to the various natural environment of the island of Sri Lanka in Southeast Asia. They can be found in dry, evergreen monsoon forest, arid scrub jungle, low and upper highland forest, rainforest, and wet zone intermediate forests. Like other large cat in this area of the world, they are highly endangered due to poaching, human encroachment and a diminishing gene pool.
