Information about the Tiger Shark:
The Tiger Shark is a species of requiem shark and is the only member of the genus Galeocerdo. They are large fish, growing to sizes in upwards of 13 feet long weighing over 2,000 pounds. They're found in tropical and temperate oceans, especially in the central Pacific islands. The Tiger Shark is a solitary predator, feeding on seals, fish, birds, sea turtles, dolphins and even other smaller sharks. The name comes from the dark stripes down the sides of the animal. They are second only to the Great White Shark in number of attacks on humans, although that number is extremely small considering the large number of human in the world's oceans at any given time. The Tiger Shark is often found close to shore in reefs and shallow sandy areas. Strange objects are often found in the shark's stomach such as license plates and car parts, and they are sometime called "the wastebasket of the sea. Tomato Frog – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Tomato Frog:
Tomato frogs come from Madagascar. The name is based on the fact that this amphibian is bright red and roundish. If threatened a Tomato frog will puff up it's body making it appear larger than it really is. The frog can also secrete a thick substance through it's skin that will cause any predator's mouth and eyes to be irritated. The Tomato Frog is a very popular animal to keep for a pet. Due to destruction of it's native habitat and the overall decline of amphibian species worldwide it is considered endangered. Trumpeter Swan – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Trumpeter Swan:
The Trumpeter Swan is the heaviest bird native to North America and is the largest waterfowl species on the planet. Adults usually grown to 54–65 inches long (138–165 centimeters) - although large males can be slightly larger. They are very heavy birds, weighing up to 15–30 pounds (7–13.6 kilograms) Wingspan ranges from (73 to 98 inches (185 to 250 centimeters.) These birds were once on the edge of extinction, due to overhunting for their feathers and lead poisoning due to shotgun pellets. There has been several programs that have attempted to reintroduce them into their native range with only moderate results. Despite these challenges the IUCN considers them to not be threatened (although the state of Minnesota has them listed as threatened.)
