Galapagos Land Iguana – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Galapagos Land Iguana:
The Galapagos Land Iguana is a large reptile native to the Galapagos Islands, mostly found on the islands of Fernandina, Isabela, Santa Cruz, North Seymour, Hood, and South Plaza. Their coloration ranges from oranges, yellows and red to darker shades of browns and grays. Despite their unique coloration Charles Darwin described them as "ugly animals." These lizards are herbivores, feeding mostly on plant matter, usually in the form of the tough, spiky cacti native to their habitat. Despite protection of the islands these reptiles live on, some conservation groups consider them "vulnerable" as non-native species have been introduced to their habitat such as cats and rats. There is ongoing work to remove them and restore the environment back to normal. They are generally found on Fernandina Island and the west coast of Isabela Island. Because of the fragile ecosystem in which they live, along with the fact that there are only about 1,000 breed pair of the birds in the world the International Union for Conservation of Nature considers them endangered. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Gelada Baboon – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Gelada Baboon:
The Gelada Baboon called the gelada baboon and bleeding-heart baboon, is a species of Old World monkey found only in the Ethiopian Highlands, with large populations in the Semien Mountains. Theropithecus is derived from the Greek root words for "beast-ape." Like its close relatives the baboons (genus Papio), it is largely terrestrial, spending much of its time foraging in grasslands. Geladas are found only in the high grassland of the deep gorges of the central Ethiopian plateau. They live in elevations 1,800–4,400 m above sea level, using the cliffs for sleeping and montane grasslands for foraging. These grasslands have widely spaced trees and also contain bushes and dense thickets. They display threats by flipping their upper lips back on their nostrils to display their teeth and gums, and by pulling back their scalps to display the pale eyelids.
