Pseudacris crucifer
Spring Peeper – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Spring Peeper:
The Spring Peeper - sometimes called 'pinkletinks' is a small amphibian native to North America. They have a body length between 1-1.5 inches (25-38 mm) These frogs feed on small insects such as ants, flies and spiders. As their name implies, the Spring Peeper has a high-pitched call similar to that of a newly born chicken, only much louder and rising slightly in tone. They can be tan or gray or dark brown, but they all have a dark "X" on their backs. They're heard earlier in spring not long after the ice melts in the forests and are among the first frogs to call in the spring. Spring Peppers are mostly nocturnal frogs, hiding from their many predators during the day and emerging at night to feed on various small insects like beetles, ants, flies, and spiders. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download
