They grow to be about 24-54 inches (60-136 cm) They are found in a variety of tones and colors, from slate gray to brown. The popular name comes from the bony-plated horn-like growth at the snout of the iguana. These lizards are primarily herbivorous, feeding on leaves, flowers, berries and other fruits. The iguana is an important contributors to plant growth which is does by distributing the seeds of the fruits it consumes. While the iguana is considered threatened in much of it's native range, aggressive conservation projects have helped stabilize the population. It has also been re-introduced into areas where it has been previously extirpated. It is also found in northeastern Mexico, including the state of Tamaulipas and eastern Nuevo León. Its preferred habitat is moist meadows and woodlands, often near water. It is highly arboreal, frequently found climbing in low vegetation, and is also a good swimmer. However, it is often found on the ground as well. Unlike many snakes, it is largely diurnal. Its diet consists mostly of insects and other terrestrial arthropods, but some snails and tree frogs are eaten as well. An adult male saltwater crocodile's weighs 1,300–2,200 pounds (600 to 1,000 kg) and length is normally 13–18 ft (4.1 to 5.5 metres), but mature males can be 20 feet long (6 meters) and weigh nearly 3,000 pounds (1,300) Females are much smaller than the males however. This reptile is found throughout much of Southeast Asia and the Pacific, and Australia. this species has a high tolerance for salinity (hence the name) and is found in brackish water around coastal areas and in rivers. However, it is also present in freshwater rivers, billabongs and swamps. Like other geckos, it does not possess eyelids, and must keep the eyeball moist by licking it. They are threatened by habitat loss in their native Madagascar. The Siamese crocodile is a small, freshwater crocodile native to Indonesia (Borneo and perhaps Java), Brunei, East Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam. They are native to a wide range of freshwater habitats, including slow-moving rivers and streams, lakes, seasonal oxbow lakes, marshes and swamplands. Due to habitat loss and overhunting, the species is critically endangered and already extirpated from many regions. Its other common names include: Siamese freshwater crocodile, Singapore small-grain, cocodrilo de Siam, crocodile du Siam, buaja, buaya kodok, jara kaenumchued, and soft-belly. The reptile has a relatively broad, smooth snout and an elevated, bony crest behind each eye. Overall, it is an olive-green color, with some variation to dark-green. Young specimens measure 3.9–4.9 feet (1.2–1.5 m) and weigh 13–26 lb (6–12 kg) Adult can measure up to nearly 7 feet (2.1 m) and a weigh 88–150 pounds (40–70 kg). Most adults do not exceed 3 m (10 ft) in length, although hybrids in captivity can grow much larger.
