Surfbird – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Surfbird:
The Surfbird is a small stocky wader in the family Scolopacidae. Their breeding habitat is rocky tundra areas in Alaska and the Yukon. The female lays 4 eggs in a depression on the ground lined with vegetation. Both parents look after the young birds, who feed themselves. These birds migrate to the Pacific coasts of North and South America, from southern Alaska to Tierra del Fuego. On the nesting grounds, these birds mainly eat insects and some seeds. At other times of year, they eat mollusks and crustaceans found along the surf line on rocky coasts and are usually found in small flocks, often with turnstones. The song is a whistled "tee tee tee. he poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download

Willet – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Willet:
The Willet is a large shorebird in the sandpiper family. It is the largest of the shanks (which are a genus of wading birds). Adults have gray legs and a long, straight, dark and stout bill. The body is dark gray above and light underneath. This bird winters on the Atlantic coast of South America. The Western Willet breeds in freshwater prairie marshes in western North America. It winters on both coasts, from the mid-Atlantic states south to at least Brazil on the Atlantic, and from Oregon south to Peru and Chile on the Pacific. Willets nest on the ground, usually in well-hidden locations in short grass, often in colonies. These birds forage on mudflats or in shallow water, probing or picking up food by sight. They mainly eat insects, crustaceans and marine worms, but also eat some plant material. The Willet's population declined sharply due to hunting in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Their population has since increased, but they are still considered at risk, especially in light of continued habitat loss. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
