Unlike some marine mammals, the Short-Beaked Common Dolphin's numbers are thought to be in the millions, although they do face serious threats like climate change, overfishing and pollution. These gregarious mammals are often live n large, active schools, and can be seen jumping and splashing. They are often so loud they can be heard from a considerable distance.
