Red-Eyed Vireo – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Red-Eyed Vireo:
The Red-Eyed Vireo is a small songbird native to the open woodlands, forests and brushy areas throughout much of North America. While they might resemble a warbler, they are not closely related to them. While the bird is often hidden from view in trees and bushes, their song is often heard as what seems to be a ceaseless series of calls. This bird had more songs than any other bird species, with one being recorded as having about 20,000 in one day. Red-Eyed Vireos feed on insects such as caterpillars and aphids, which they deftly pluck from trees, bushes and other plants. They will also feed on berries and fruits, which sometimes bring them into parks and backyards. This is more common behavior as the breeding season approaches. Their numbers are generally stable across their very large range and they are not considered to be vulnerable or endangered. Rusty Blackbird – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Rusty Blackbird:
The Rusty Blackbird is a medium-sized blackbird native to Canada and the United States. It spends the summers around the Arctic Circle and the winters in the southeastern part of the lower 48 states. They are generally found in temperate coniferous forests when they are breeding, and then migrate into ponds and wetlands when the seasons change. They eat mostly insects, foraging for them among the leaf litter on the forest floor, flipping over leaves and aquatic vegetation looking for insects and small fish. It will also feed on plant matter such as seeds. Due to habitat loss, the number of the Rusty Blackbird have been declining for many years, and the INCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) considers them "vulnerable." According to the North American Breeding Bird Society their numbers may have plummeted to 85%–98%. Snow Bunting – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Snow Bunting:
The Snow Bunting - sometimes called a "Snowflake" by locals - is a member of the family of passerine birds. The bird is located in the northern hemisphere with a circumpolar Arctic breeding range. They are about 5.9 inches long (15 cm) with a wingspan of 11.8 inches (30 cm) and weigh about 1.1-1.6 ounces (31-46 grams) These birds can endure extremely cold weather down to -22 F (-30 c) which is when the males head to the breeding grounds in early April. They are omnivorous and feed on both plant matter and insects. The Snow Buntings flock in large groups, which has been compared to a snowstorm. They also nest together in groups of 20-40 couples. Unlike other polar animals, the Snow Bunting is basically the same color year round, with only one molt that doesn't change it's appearance much. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
