Arctic Wolf – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Arctic Wolf:
Also called the Polar, Tundra or White Wolf, Arctic Wolves are large predatory mammals from the Canidae family. They are a subspecies of the Gray or Timber Wolf. These wolves inhabit the Canadian and Alaskan arctic as well as part of Greenland. They are somewhat smaller than the Gray Wolf although they are still large growing to over 150 pounds and up to 5-6 feet long (including tail.) Like all wolves the Arctic Wolf mostly hunts in packs preying on caribou and musk oxen. But they will also take smaller prey such as hare, seals, birds and lemmings. Due to their isolation the Arctic Wolf is still found over much of it's original range. Arizona Ridge-Nosed Rattlesnake – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Arizona Ridge-Nosed Rattlesnake:
The Arizona Ridge-Nosed Rattlesnake is a venomous reptile native to only a few mountain ranges in Arizona, usually only found above 5000 feet, up to about 8000 in Pine forests and cooler canyons. Generally, the snake doesn't grow larger than a few ounces and longer than 24 inches. The name comes from the snake's distinctive upturned nose. The snake feeds on small lizards, mice, and invertebrates like centipedes. They are very secretive animals, usually only active at dawn and dusk, and are therefore rarely encountered by humans. As these animals are considered threatened by the state of Arizona it is illegal to collect or kill them. They are also the official reptile of the state of Arizona. Curiously, they were the last rattlesnake to be discovered and named by herpetologists in the US. Usually the frog grows no larger than 1.8 inches (4.6 centimeters) There are several areas where this amphibian is common and populations stable.
