The Norhayati's Flying or Gliding Frog is a member of the genus Rhacophorus, which are tree-dwelling amphibians native to the rainforests of Asia. They are remarkable, as they have the nearly unique ability to "fly" from tree to tree using their large footpad's webbings extended out to control their fall. These frogs are can be found in Japan, India, China, Madagascar, Africa and Southeast Asia. Along with the family Hylidae they make up the "true frogs." These frogs, like many amphibians in various environmentally sensitive environments in the world, are in decline due to climate change and habitat loss due to deforestation. The Northern Cricket Frog is a small amphibian native to damp, moist areas of swamps and forests, usually not far from a body of water. This tiny amphibians ranges throughout most of the the central plains states, from western Texas, north to South Dakota and from the Florida panhandle north to southeastern New York. They are among the smallest of North America's vertebrates, usually only growing to a maximum length of 1.5 inches or 38 millimeters. Their coloration varies, but they are usually a mottled brown and gray, with a strip of bright green along the top from head to back legs. While they are members of the Hylidae (treefrogs) family, they are not arboreal. There are three recognized subspecies of this frog. If it looks like food and they can overpower it and get it into their mouths, then it's food.
