Emperor Newt – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Emperor Newt:
Emperor newts - also called the Mandarin Newt or Mandarin Salamander - is a member of the family Salamandridae. It lives in a high, mountainous area of Yunnan, China. They are generally found in ponds or slow moving streams. They grow to be about 8 inches long (20cm) Their bright coloration is a warning to potential predators that they're highly toxic. The toxin in the newts body is released through the orange, warty bumps on its back. This toxic is so lethal it could potentially kill over 7000 mice. It is not especially harmful to human though, and if the newt is handled gently it will not release any toxins. The Emperor Newt feeds on small insects and other invertebrates. Due to habitat loss and climate change their numbers in the wild have been declining. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Fire Salamander – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Fire Salamander:
The Fire Salamander is the most familiar of the salamanders of Europe. These amphibians live in forests in the hilly areas of southern and central Europe, where they can be found in the leaf litter and rotting tree trunks. They spend much of their lives hidden beneath rocks, in wood piles and fallen trees and branches. They feed on insects, spiders, soil invertebrates such as worms and slugs. The Fire salamander probably got it's name from the misconception they were 'born' of fire, as they would be living in rotting logs that - when placed on a burning fire - they would then crawl out of The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download

Giant Chinese Salamander – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Giant Chinese Salamander:
Giant Chinese is a critically endangered amphibian native to the mountain streams and lakes in China. They are the largest amphibians in the world, and can reach over 5 feet in length, although adults of that size are exceedingly rare today. Due to habitat loss, pollution and illegal collecting they are considered critically endangered. They are thought of as a "living fossil" as their family dates back some 170 million years. It has very poor eyesight, so it depends mostly on special sensory nodes that run in a line on the body from the head to the tail. They feed on insects, crabs, frogs and fish. Climate change is also thought to have played a role in this animal's decline in the wild.
