European Starling – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the European Starling:
The European Starling - also called the Common Starling or simply Starling - is a member of the order of Passeriformes or songbirds or, more accurately perching birds. There are many subspecies of the Starling, scattered across much of the Northern Hemisphere. They are a highly adaptable species and have been introduced - usually unintentionally - in many areas they are not native to. This has resulted in the steep decline of native species who cannot compete with the aggressive bird that reproduces at such a high rate. These birds can live in many different environments, and are omnivorous and feed on various types of invertebrates such as caterpillars, moths, cicadas and spiders. They will also feed plant matter like seeds, fruits, grains and nectars.
