Hereford Cow – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Hereford Cow:

Hereford Cows are a beef cattle breed, widely used both in intemperate areas and temperate areas, mainly for meat production. Originally from Herefordshire, England, United Kingdom, more than five million pedigree Hereford cattle now exist in over 50 countries. The Hereford cattle export trade began from United Kingdom in 1817, starting in Kentucky, United States, spreading across the United States and Canada through Mexico to the great beef-raising countries of South America. Today, Hereford cattle dominate the world scene from Australasia to the Russian steppes. They can be found in Israel, Japan and throughout continental Europe and Scandinavia. They are found in the temperate parts of Canada, the United States and Russia, as well as the temperate parts of Australia, the center and east of Argentina, in Uruguay, and New Zealand, where they make up the largest proportion of registered cattle. They originally found great popularity among ranchers of the American Southwest, testament to the hardiness of the breed; while originating in cool, moist Britain, they have proven to thrive in much harsher climates on nearly every continent. Miniature Dachshund – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Miniature Dachshund:

The Miniature Dachshund is a breed of dog that has been developed based on the larger standard Dachshund. Generally they weigh about 8-11 pounds with a height of 5-8 inches at the shoulder. They are also called "wiener dogs" for the obvious resemblance. The name "Dachshund" comes from the German word for "badger" (dachs) and "dog" (hund.) They are believed to have been developed in Germany in the 16th century, and their design and shape make it possible for them them descend into burrows and tunnels to kill badgers and other pests that dig holes. But they are also excellent hunting dogs for above ground prey too. They have an excellent sense of smell which gives them an advantage over some other types of dogs. The breed has three coats; smooth, long-haired and wire-haired. They are highly active and independent dogs, and their good nature makes them one of the most popular breeds of dog in the world. Because of their shape, however, they are prone to back injuries as well as Intervertebral Disc Disease which is usually caused by obesity.

Samoyed – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Samoyed:

The Samoyed dog takes it's name from the Samoyedic peoples of Siberia, who are nomadic reindeer herders. These hardy people bred these distinctive white dogs to help with the herding and to pull sleds in the thick snow. These dogs are also sometimes called Bjelkier, especially in Europe. The males usually weigh about 51–66 pounds (23–30 kilograms) with the females being somewhat smaller. They have very lovely eyes, usually almond shape and black/brown in coloration - which stand out dramatically from their fluffy white coats - which are double-layered to protect them from the bitter cold of their native Siberia. While the friendly temperament of Samoyeds make them less than ideal guard dogs, it does make them excellent pets. Although when playing with children, the dogs instincts will kick in and they will attempt to herd them. Like other purebred dogs, they are susceptible to a variety of illnesses. They are fairly long lived though, usually reaching ages of 12-15 years old.
